Biography
Rick Seidel was raised in Northeastern Pennsylvania, graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of
Scranton in 1988. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Maryland School of
Medicine in 1992.
He moved to Texas in 1992 for post graduate training in Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern
Medical Center in Dallas. At the completion of his residency in 1995, Dr. Seidel received the John S. Miller
Award for Outstanding Performance as a House Officer. Dr. Seidel continued at UT Southwestern where he
completed fellowship training in Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy.
Dr. Seidel has been practicing Gastroenterology since 1998 in East Texas, where he lives with his wife
